Thomas Bexon aka Thomas Surfboards

Thomas Bexon is one of the leading names in Australian shaping. Based in Noosa, he has made a name for himself in the surfing world thanks to his artisanal approach and strong taste for traditional longboarding, while pushing the boundaries of modern board design.

A self-taught shaper, Thomas has forged a style all his own: clean lines, rare attention to detail, and a real feel for flow. His boards are designed for pure glide, nose ride and all those sensations that classic surfing enthusiasts are looking for. In contrast to competitive surfing, his philosophy is one of free surfing and authenticity.

In his Noosa workshop, Thomas works closely with Jake Bowrey, aka Cutap, his resident glazer. Jake doesn't just laminate the boards: he brings them to life with meticulous finishes and unique graphics. Together, they form a creative duo where each board becomes a piece in its own right, combining performance and aesthetics.
For over ten years, Shapers Club (formerly UWL Surfboards) has been working with Thomas as a guest shaper. He's part of the family, and his shapes are now carefully crafted in our workshops in France, in keeping with his original designs. We have the pleasure of welcoming him and Jake to the shapers club house almost every year. Without a doubt, Thomas is one of the pillars of our community.
