Old Faithful

As its name suggests, theOld Faithful is the log timeless classic you can always count on.
Thomas designed it as his the purest interpretation of traditional Australian longboarding from the 60's.
Climbing on it means turn back time : the soft feel of the full rollthe stability of a large 50/50 rail and a incredibly smooth trim glide.
Without modern artifice (no exaggerated concave noredge), it requires surfing with finesse and anticipationwhich is what makes it so charming.
The benefit for the user is a timeless board (never old-fashioned, never outdated) that offers a renewed pleasure at every session.
Not the most easy to get started of course, but in expert or passionate handsshe never disappoints - hence her nickname "timeless as f"*** in the workshop.
This is the heart" board that we keep for years, because it guarantees authentic sliding and don't cheat the surfer.

Shape:

Design 1966 in its original state : fully belly hull (rolled) of the nose to tail, no concave or vee - just the belly dish to maximize pure glide and the constant link with the wave.
50/50 pinch rails over the entire length, very fine and thin (foiled) at tailoffering low volume on the edges → faut press preciselybut it brings a inimitable style once you've mastered it.
Classic outline : wide rounded nose, tail square generous enough, max width at stack center.
Lightweight rockeralmost dish over the majority of the length, just raised a little at the nose for avoid loading and almost no lift tail (long board that "sticks to the wave).
This stripped shape will never go out of fashion and embodies the "reference logthe one who has inspired Thomas from the start.

Type of surfer:

For purists and lovers of classic style.
Intermediate to expert surferswho appreciate challenge of an uncompromising log.
A beginner could try it out, but might find it unstable compared to a modern model - it's more of a the plank we offer ourselves when we already know how to help ourselves and we want feel the "real" old-school glide.

Wave type:

Perfect for clean, long spots : pointbreaks and waves of sand rolling quietlyof 50 cm to 1m20.
It is here that he delivers these long nostalgic trims and these nose wrinklesno fuss.
He doesn't really like clapot or the onshore wind (pinched rails don't tolerate chaos), nor very hollow waves.
Think Malibu, Noosa by small conditions, Waikiki - this is his kingdom.
Visit ideal conditionsit won't let you go (hence "Old Faithful).
