Visit Step Deck revives a rare vintage design - the longboard with hollow front deckoffering unique sensations.
Thomas admits that this is one of his all-time favorite shapeseven if it is less publicized.
The concept: a board that bends under your feet depending on the wave, sometimes providing a SPEED BOOSTsometimes a natural brake.
In surfing, this translates into living" experience when you are in nose ride and the section speeds upthe nose tightens and spins faster if the vague mollitthe nose rises slightly and you slow down a bitavoiding plant.
As a result, the surfer remains longer at the nose with less effortand can exploit difficult sections without leaving the end of the board.
This automatic scalability is the great benefit of Step Deck - it's a kind of "body with the wave.
From a marketing point of view, it can be said that combines functionality and aesthetics sound stepped bridge adds intrigue and stylewhile concretely improving noseriding performance.

Shape:

Deck : notable step on the front third of the bridge, reducing nose thickness.
This slimmer nose lightens the swing weight (the runs more smoothly from the tail) and above all confers longitudinal flexibility in front.
Nose flex : in support nosethe front part can bend slightly - variable nose rocker depending on the situation.
Outline Californian style largewith generous nose (despite the reduced thickness) and tail wide enough too (classic square tail).
Long, blended concave nose on the entire front zone, ensuring lift and nose ride behaviour despite the slimmer nose.
50/50 rails, slightly pinched (volume preserved on the sides since we've removed it from the deck) - this gives a good support in noseride.
Bottom From concave nose which passes into soft belly on the back.
Tail : voluminous square tail with belly for stability.
Regular medium rocker.
Basically, apart from the step bridge and the flexit's still a shape noserider balancedwith this the magic plus of the flexible nose.

Type of surfer:

Intermediate to expert surfers curious to experience a atypical design.
He more forgiving than a Hariot e.g. thanks to volume retained in railsso a intermediary will be able to.
But above all the expert in search of new sensations who will appreciate it, or the vintage geek.
Visit Step Deck is also a beautiful object for those who like to display a unusual" style in the line-up.

Wave type:

Perfect for clean pointbreak waves from 0.5-1.5 m where you can long term noseride exploitation.
On the beachbreakhis flex plays less (because of short sections), but there's still a very good noserider.
He doesn't really like choppy waves (unpredictable flex) nor the very hollow (thinned bridge = reduced strength in the event of a violent wipeout).
So take it out especially in pretty "classic logger waves : long straight/left smooth where he can express his flexibility and give you this real-time adaptive flow.

Our interpretation of one of the most iconic and easy-to-use daggerboard designs. It can be mounted on virtually any type of board, from an 8" on a mid-length to an 11" on an imposing longboard. Speed, control, relaunch and versatility to adapt to all conditions.

This is the ultimate all-purpose longboard daggerboard: sufficienthookwhile providing a beautiful freedom of action. She does exactly what is expected of her - a perfect balance between all the elements. Thank you, George.
